Long-standing development cooperation between a number of companies and the University of Southern Denmark in Esbjerg in 2002 led to the decision on establishing a new and high technological amino acid production in Esbjerg.
The production is based on a patent which we have developed and the state-of-art knowledge within biotechnology, fermentations and process technology.
The production is environmentally friendly as it utilizes residues from the agro industry and agricultural plant products as raw material in a biotechnological process for the production of the high value product – lysine – to the feedstuff industry.
VitaLys I/S's production of lysine is patented and the first and only of its' kind in the world.
